Translation Quality Control
TIMESTRANS Quality Assurance Process
- At TIMESTRANS Translations the translation service process then goes one step further with a final Quality Assurance step completed by a 3rd linguist to ensure that the translation is as accurate as possible.
- Every translation is checked word for word against the original and any changes that are required are implemented so as to ensure that the proper terminology is used consistently throughout the entire document.
TIMESTRANS Translation Quality Control Process
ISO Standards
As a testament to its commitment to quality in everything that TIMESTRANS Translations does, the company has completed its ISO 9001:2000 certification basing upon it the Translation Quality Assurance.
QA Tools
Furthermore, TIMESTRANS Translations uses Translation Memory tools and create project–specific glossaries that aid ALL translators and proofreaders working on a project in using consistent language. These tools prevent any discrepancies from occurring during a translation project and thus reinforce our ability to offer error–free translations. After the whole translation process is complete, our QA specialists will double–check and test each and every project being delivered to you – our client.
Trados QA Checker

The QA Checker within SDL Trados 2007 is set to change the quality checking standards within the translation memory arena. Existing and new translations can be more easily reviewed and cleansed using the enhanced batch-mode QA checker. New built-in, batched mode, translation and terminology checks have been added and any number of user-defined checks can be set up to search for particular quality criteria.
LISA QA Model

The LISA QA Model features an innovative new interface that combines single-click efficiency with spreadsheet functionality to simplify the review process. The LISA QA Model is the result of localization professionals working together to influence the industry with standards, tools and quality procedures.
Xbench

XBench is a QA utility created by ApSIC as a handy program to check glossaries or exported translation memories. Its main use was probably as a convenient and simple tool to search the Microsoft Glossaries.
XBench provides a unified and convenient view of the bilingual information, which can be prioritized by the user as required. ApSIC Xbench also features powerful Quality Assurance features, to check for consistency, numeric values and more.
QA Distiller
QA Distiller is a software application that makes it possible to automatically detect formal errors in translations and translation memories, and enables their quick and easy correction. The traceable error categories include omissions, inconsistencies, formatting problems, and terminology errors. QA Distiller is able to batch process files and supports language dependent settings.
